CHELSEA YEAR 1
UNIT 2: DESIGN OBJECTS
"Beauty Chair"
In the age of social media trends, YouTube has emerged as a prominent platform for communication and content sharing. Beauty vloggers have seen remarkable growth, with makeup tutorials attracting millions of views, and makeup becoming an everyday necessity. This project focuses on the development of a chair component designed to assist beauty vloggers in creating high-quality makeup tutorials. The component, comprising a mirror, armrest, and frame, aims to enhance the makeup experience and video production process.
UNIT 3: DESIGN MEDIA
"Personal Space"
Human behavior is shaped by spatial considerations, especially in public spaces where personal space, a radius of comfort, is maintained. Intrusion into this space by non-intimates can cause discomfort and stress. From my perspective, personal space is akin to private space, offering comfort and separation. I relax in my personal space, but intrusion leads to boundary adjustments.
UNIT 4: DESIGN CONTEXTS
"Cubical Space"
This project reimagines Chelsea College of Art and Design's stairwell space, emphasizing an intimate and playful atmosphere for human-cat interaction. By altering the layout to include open spaces, it fosters a harmonious blend of shared and private areas. This welcoming space is designed for cat lovers to enjoy quality time with their pets.
